She's no stranger to daring trends, but Rihanna has stepped out in her edgiest look to date – a punky new Mohican.

Although the songstress is a firm fan of experimental hair trends – think that gravity-defying quiff or her penchant for multi-tone locks – her latest tress incarnation has to be the boldest to date, with the sides completely shaved, and the remaining strip worn spiky and straightened.

I'm not overly fussed by her new hair cut. It's very brave, but she will regret the shaven sides. She's a very beautiful woman with a fantastic figure, and good for her if she wants to be different. I just don't think it suits her and she'll be very limitted with her looks.

Its actually a really clever cut, I used to have something very similar. If you actually look at her hair it is so thick and long on top that when she wears it down rather than sprayed up you won't even tell its been shaved. Also, lets not forget all the amazing wigs these celebrities can wear in the 'inbetween' stage!

Hey, there can NEVER be enough hair do's! A fresh & funky style is always best when it's 1st rocked out by an edgy & hot trend-setter like Rihanna! Give it a few months, just the right chicks will be rockin' Rihanna's ONPURPOSE trend before we know it...I probably would've done it in the 80's!!! You're a GENIOUS Ri-Ri!

Leave Rhinna alone she's young and can adjust to change, she rocks the look and I'm digging it...

I am a stylist and I am very happy when I see my sisters rocking the looks like other hair types...
