Vibrating mascara to hit stores
Rex Features
The world's first vibrating mascara will hit beauty counters in the US this summer.
Developed by Estée Lauder, the TurboLash All Effects Motion Mascara is the first of its kind, and is set to make waves in the beauty industry when it reaches stores.
Vibrating at 125 micropulses a second, the ingenious device creates volume and separates lashes. This may sound like the same claims made by non-battery operated mascaras, but where the new design differs is reportedly in the effectiveness.
The company claims that the magic lies in the movement, explaining there is, 'a relationship between vibration, length, volume, separation and curl,' and that the new product creates 'perfect mascara application the instant the vibrating brush touches your lash line.'
It is yet to be confirmed when the mascara will reach UK stores, with a US release set for July.

Great idea! However, I think it's a total scam! If you think about it you could wiggle the brush as PJ said, instead of paying around £20 for a tube of nothing that goes off in 6 months.

It's just another way of parting women from their money.

Another day, Another gimmick, and I'm sure another advertising campaign featuring a model with additional false lashes applied, with a bit of airbrushing to complete the look.
Save your money girls & just apply your mascara from the base of your lashes, and wiggle the brush- same effect!!!

Its hard enough applying mascara therefore a vibrating one will just complicate things even more!
