Lily Allen at the Noel Fielding Teenage Cancer Trust party

Lily Allen showed off her new blonde locks last night, at an after party for the Noel Fielding Cancer Trust concert.

It's been a turbulent year so far for the Smile singer, but in the spirit of blondes having more fun, she spent the evening playfully posing for the cameras, clearly revelling in her new light 'do.

The colour is a bold change for Lily, and London Hairdresser of the Year Karine Jackson advises that if you want to copy her look, and go from dark to light, then you may struggle to get that perfect look first time .

She advises, 'Going blonde from a colour as dark as Lily's is no easy task, even for the most experience colourist. If your hair is already coloured, it may not be possible to get the desired result in one go so it could be better to go for an in-between colour that you like to help bridge the gap.'

She adds, 'When you're in the spotlight like Lily it's very brave to go from dark to light and all the elements are against her getting a perfect result the first time.'

She is a very beautiful woman; however, I think she looked better with the darker hair color.

All I have to say is eww. I used to love Lily Allen's style and music. She had beautiful hair and wore the best clothes, she wasn't obbesesd with her weight. Now she is a blonde, blonde is girly, and dumb. Lily you used to like dresses they are cool, but blonde is highly girly, extremely girly, and stupid. Lily the most sensible for you to do is go back to brunette!!!! Please I wanna scream!!! I feel so down, you were my favorite person!!!
PLEASE GO BACK TO BRUNETTE, BE COOL AGAIN!!!!

As a natural blonde I've never been able to understand why so many girls with gorgeous dark locks (like Lily Allen) have their hair bleached. It can't be good for it!

I think she looks really cute in that picture. A good move in my opinion. If it doesn't work for her she can always go back to her original hair colour

she's lucky it didn't all go ginger and snap off. probably still damaged her hair loads though and she looked better with dark hair because of her colouring

I find it interesting what is being said about her colour in the press and online. Other than the usual people who dis everything, I find more actual people saying they like it (well maybe now not when first done).
I have been doing Lily's hair for quite a while, well since before she became famous. I did not do her colour the time she went from dark to light, I wish I did because I know what I used before so it might have been easier, however It would have always been hard to get it to look good after years of colouring it dark.
If she had of come to me to go blonde I would have probably tried to talk her out of it. Now I am glad she did not come to me, I personally love it Blonde, She once was really fussy about her hair after having it butchered years back. Now when she comes in she seems to want to have fun and is game for trying out new looks which I totally support.
She is young, is in control and thankfully seems not to care what is written or said about her. I am sure she won't mind me saying that she has always been a little nuts but to me she seems more on top form than ever.
