Supermarket anti-ageing cream

Marie Claire Beauty News: Face cream Rex Features

Forking out for extortionate face creams in a bid to turn back the clock? You could save yourself a small fortune with a quick trip to supermarket Aldi, where a £1.89 anti-ageing cream is currently flying off the shelves.

Aldi's own label anti-wrinkle cream is apparently delivering a winning formula to prevent signs of ageing. The Siana Moisturising Anti-Wrinkle Day Cream has already won a host of beauty awards, beating expensive and better-known brands including Helena Rubenstein, Olau and Elemis and insiders in the beauty industry are all talking about the new product which they claim really does work.

Two thousand volunteers were asked to test the cream and voted it one of the best complexion smoothers, with one women stating: 'I was asked if I'd had a facial.'

If you want to fight the wrinkles though, you'd better get out there quickly: at the beginning of January 890 jars of Siana cream were being sold a week, but now over 20,000 are being snapped up by ladies eager to curb the crow's feet.

I have been using the Aldis day and night cream for two weeks now and find the benefits amazing! Before using this cream i had been going for facials at $60 a pop, but have since given these up and opted to use the Aldis cream which leaves my skin feeling baby soft...and that's only after two weeks! I plan to keep using this from now on. I even use the night cream on my arms and have had several comments from family and friend about how smooth my arms appear to the sight and touch!

i have just spent the last six months using l'oreal cleansers, toners and day/night creams and revitalift with what i would class as absolutely no difference. i have used this cream for three days and when i put it on my skin tingles, but is this just an alergic reaction to a cheap cream? i'll let you know.

I have been using the Aldi own brand face cream for quite a long time, and have been very pleased with it.

I have also used the Lidl own brand face cream, Cien, and have found that to be very good too.

Reading your article about the Aldi cream, and its benefits, I wondered if any tests have been carried out on the Lidl cream, day and night, as the costs of the cream are the same as Aldi.

I would be very grateful for your comments.

Regards,

Karen.

Yep fully agree Aldi stuff is great for products and price. I use the hir care, skin care, bath care and nearly everything else in Aldi. The skin cream is rich, moisturizing and skin taughtening as well as pleasantly smelling. Non greasy and definately good for sensitive skins.

This sounds great! So, How much would this cost me in US dollars and where can I find this product?

Aldi's cream was advertised on the telly. Lidl do a similar one at a similar price,it's not been advertised, but it would be interesting to know how it compares
