There's lots of hype about the elegant new candle brand No.22 Candles - so we grabbed five minutes to grill founder and creator Sophie Beresiner, who is also a busy Beauty Director by day. Go Sophie!

How did 22 come about?

'I started making candles in my kitchen as a calming hobby. It turned into an accidental (but wonderful) business venture once they were discovered on Instagram and Liberty got in touch. I misjudged the "calming" part!'

What's it like having your own company?

'It is rewarding doing something entirely for your benefit and refreshing to do as you please. But also is it scary knowing the buck stops with you and there's no security blanket of a boss to fall to back on. The biggest realisation of the scale of this was seeing "No.22" on the brands list on the Liberty website. Suddenly I didn't just have a candle range, I had "A Brand" which is thrilling and terrifying at the same time. There is a lot to learn on the business and manufacturing side and I've made some mistakes but it's such an exciting feeling.'

Would you recommend starting a venture to likeminded souls?

'Yes definitely. If nothing else I'm thrilled to have had this experience in my lifetime, to be stocked in my dream location and have my family so proud of me. They love the candles too!'
