Gone were the sleek strawberry-blonde tresses and the ever-present updo, and in their place were big auburn curls - strikingly similar to those showcased by the actress back in the Nineties

Although a slightly darker shade than that she opted for back in 1996, the tumbling, voluminous ringlets bore a distinct similarity to those she debuted more than 14 years ago.

The Australian beauty teamed her new-slash-old locks with a sparkling Oscar de la Renta gown and golden jewels.

The 42-year-old was attending the starry awards with her fellow Nine co-stars, having been nominated for one of the prestigious prizes - for best ensemble cast.

She may have gone home empty-handed, but she certainly won our vote in the style stakes
