Introducing our latest crush; Benefit’s new brow collection

When our brows are looking good we feel like we can conquer the world. Now, thanks to Benefit, perfecting them has become a whole lot easier.

Brows are big business. Brow products are the second-fastest growing make-up category in the UK (just behind eyeliner) and in 2014 there were 3-million eyebrow queries on Google. 3 million! And, on YouTube there were 2-million searches around our little fury friends.

In black and white the figures kind of blow our minds but, if we stop and think about it, we’re not really surprised. When was the last time you left the house without at least combing through your brows? And we can all appreciated just how transforming it is to create the perfect eyebrow shape for our face by filling in and define our brows. It literally takes years off.

Little wonder then, that Marie Claire favourite Benefit are going to town with their brow launches this year with an exhaustive brow collection of new innovations and re-vamped heroes to cater for every brow type and concern. Expect a collection of three existing hero brow products and a further nine – yes nine! – brand new innovations. With cult favourites Brow Zings and Gimme Brow, Benefit is already the top brow brand in the UK and they’re predicting the brow market to eclipse the success of mascaras in the near future.

Last month we were jammy enough to tag-along to Las Vegas with Benefit for an exclusive unveiling of their brow collection. Benefit’s brow expert, Lisa Potter-Dixon, tutored us in the art of brow styling (we needed it!) and we were able to have a play with the new formulas and tools that will be hitting your Benefit store imminently. As a result, our brows have never looked better!

But, what of the collection? There’s plenty that’s bound to tickle your fancy. Here’s just a few of our favourites.

BrowVo! Conditioning Primer, £21.50
You’ve heard of lash primers, well now we’re onto brow primers and there’s a very good reason. Apply BrowVo! to clean brows before you head to bed. The conditioning formula will nourish the hairs and make them super healthy so they’re capable to grow thick and full. You can use it before applying your brow make-up too and it will help the colour stay put for longer. Already love it.

3D-BrowTones, £18.50
So this product has more than a touch of genius too it. If you have very dense and dark brows you might find that they can on occasion look a little harsh. A slick of 3D-BrowTones with add just a hint of subtle lightness through the hairs. It’s perfect for summer and especially so if you’re a fan of balayage.

Goof Proof Brow Pencil, £18.50
This cleverly angled pencil naturally mimics the shape and length of brow hair so it’s so easy to sketch in fine, life-like hairs and make your brows appear fuller. You’ll find a handy brow brush on the other end to blend the colour in and position the hairs. Clever stuff.

Precisely, My Brow Pencil, £18.50
The ultra-fine pencil tip is about as precise as you can get. The formula is really long-lasting and there’s a brilliantly clever self-sharpening lid.

High Brow, £17.50
Some of our old favourites including Brow Zings, Gimme Brow and High Brow have had a bit of a make-over. High Brow is forever favourite; it’s subtle champagne pink colour serves as the perfect brow bone highlight. We like to put a touch on the inner corners of our eyes too to make us look more awake.

The ultimate brow palette, Brow Zings, £24.50, has received three new shades too. And, if you keep an eye on Marie Claire you might just spot a very special Benefit brows product in the near future. Hint; if you’re a gym bunny or like to party hard, this long wearing, almost bullet proof, brow product will be your brow saviour.

We’re almost all browed-out but these are just a few of our favourites coming up in the new Benefit brow collection, and, in addition to a bunch of genius must-use products you’ll find handy tools including a Tweezing & Taming Tool and Defining & Blending Tool. Soon your little fury friends will be giving Cara Delevingne a run for her money.
