I’m an expert at doing my make-up in the back of a cab. The trick with eyeliner is to sit leaning away from the seat, meet your elbows to steady yourself and then hold the mirror in one hand and rest the other, with the pencil, against your cheek so if the car jolts the pencil moves with you.

I do my own make-up for events. I wear Charlotte Tilbury Kissing Lipstick in Hepburn Honey and use The Retoucher instead of foundation. Her Luxury Palette in The Dolce Vita is a favourite because it accentuates my green eyes. I use Tom Ford Shade & Illuminate instead of blusher and Laura Mercier invisible Loose Setting Powder.

I like big hair. Once I wore a sexy gold tiger-print Cavalli dress with side split to a party in Milan and I had (huge) curls. I looked like a lioness and every time my hair bounced it made me smile.

Curls hold best on second-day hair. I add Redken Pillow Proof Blow Dry Two Day Extender to my roots for lift, and Redken Pillow Proof Blow Dry Express Primer to the lengths before I tong.

I had a great blow-dry at George Northwood’s salon during London Fashion Week. Then I slipped on the Brewer Street cobbles and ended up in A&E. The street-style photographers scarpered and only two people stayed to help me. I had a concussion and a bruised hip- and, of course, I ruined my blow-dry, but they (did) give me some scrubs to wear in hospital.

I like to holiday in Europe so I can take my top off and avoid tan lines. My skin goes really dark in the sun and I get tan lines even when I’m wearing Clarin’s UV Plus SPF 50. I can’t wear a strappy bikini because I hate the marks.

I pay not attention to whether a fragrance is for men or women. It’s down to how it develops on my skin. In the winter, I love Dior Homme Cologne and Christian Dior La Collection Privée Ambre Nuit; they’re musky with notes of amber. In the summer, I wear Jo Malone London Blue Agava & Cacao Cologne.

My favourite meal is carbs on carbs. I love chips dipped in mashed-potato as well as mashed-potato sandwiches. Sugar is like a drug – when I have withdrawal I get really mean and aggressive, so I allow myself a little.

I hate green juices. They’re healthy but I’ve yet to find one that tastes nice. If I (have) to have one, I’ll opt for kale, spinach, celery, lemon, a bit of lime, and a shot of ginger. The ginger makes it tolerable.
