This year has given us ample opportunity for some Union Jack waving, from the Diamond Jubilee to the Olympics and the Paralympics.
But on top of all that, I was lucky enough to spend a delightful evening in a dark cellar in St James’ in the company of some fine British brands.
Berry Brothers & Rudd, the oldest wine merchant in London, played host to a fashion show of British designers.
After tasting five different sparkling wines, including an English one, we were treated to a fashion show from British couture designer Lisa Redman to showcase her signature hand embellished dresses.
The crowning glory came from Lock & Co, whose couture milliner Sylvia Fletcher is a favourite of the Duchess of Cambridge, showcasing 10 hats from the beautiful new autumn/winter collection.
