Marie Claire Runway magazine is on sale now! Editor, Charlotte Moore, lets fashion fans in on what it was like pulling together the Autumn/Winter 2012 issue.
It was always going to be a brilliant six weeks creating the second edition of Marie Claire Runway, with such an amazing A/W season to play with. There were songs (Alber Elbaz – thank you for the moment), there were tears (Raf Simons’ goodbye after his last Jil Sander show was a farewell very few fashion-folk will ever forget).

And then there was that train.
When the Vuitton Express pulled in the Louvre courtyard there were audible gasps at what had to be the most extravagant show in the history of the collections. We were thrilled to be able to get an exclusive backstage pass to Marc Jacobs’ team as they prepared for that monumental moment.

Lavish certainly seemed to be a recurrent theme of the season, but when it came to Ms Frida Giannini who we had the pleasure of meeting in Rome, it was definitely of the dark and romantic kind.

In the past few months we've chatted with incredibly talented designers, photographers, makeup artist and hair gurus. We have gazed at thousands of runway pictures and laughed out loud at the hilarious goings on of our fashion week diaries (Stephen Jones we salute you).
Our hope is that we've done justice to the creative, crazy wonderment that is the biannual ready to wear collections. Take a look the issue and let us what you think!
