Christian Louboutin has brought the fairytale Cinderella slipper to life, in honour of the forthcoming release of the Disney classic on Blu-ray.
The renowned shoe designer has reimagined the famous slippers in 'lightness, beauty and transparency.' He said: 'Cinderella is not only an iconic character when it comes to beauty, grace and fairytale love, but also shoes
'The slipper is the magic wand of transformation which conjures confidence, beauty and love.'
The Louboutin slippers, with two sparkling butterflies sitting atop crystal and lace embellishment, and of course Louboutin's signature red sole, are sure to delight every little princess.
According to Louboutin, Cinderella's character and story dictated the design: 'It was all there in the pages and the words of this tale. The dream is a major factor in my language of design. There are no limits in the world of fantasy and there is always a happily ever after.'
The Cinderella Diamond Blu-ray Edition is out on August 27, 2012.
