With Brad Pitt on her arm, six gorgeous children, a successful career as one of Hollywood's hottest actresses and her directorial debut out this week, you'd be forgiven for thinking that Angelina Jolie is a woman who's got it all.

But you'd be mistaken. Speaking to Marie Claire in the US, Angelina Jolie has revealed that the one thing she's missing in life is female friends.

'I'm just not very social. I don't do a lot with them, and I'm very homebound.'

She went on to say that the only person she really confides in is the father of her children.

'I'll talk to my family. I talk to Brad ... But I don't know, I don't have a lot of friends I talk to. He is really the only person I talk to.'

It's been hinted that Angelina Jolie's lack of female friends may have something to do with her track record with men. Brad Pitt famously left his wife Jennifer Aniston for his Mr & Mrs Smith co-star and Angelina’s second husband Billy Bob Thornton split from his fiance Laura Dern to be with her.

But it seems that fellow A-lister Gwen Stefani is a kindred spirit. The pair have been friends for over a decade and were spotted on a playmate with their children earlier this year. Angelina has said: 'Somehow Gwen and I keep ending up pregnant at the exact same time!'

Gwen even joined Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie at the LA premiere of  Angelina's hard-hitting directorial debut, In The Land Of Milk And Honey.

The film is set during the Bosnian war and as Angelina Jolie told US Marie Claire: 'It began as a private exercise, an excuse to get out some of my frustrations with the international community and justice issues. I think it's still hard to understand what happened and how it could happen 40 minutes away from Italy in the '90s at the time 'Schindler's List' came out.'
