Christian Louboutin takes action to stop fakes

There's no such thing as a free lunch, or a cheap pair of Christian Louboutins either.

When you see a pair of the famous red soles for sale at a bargainous price on the web, it's safe to say it's usually too good to be true.

And now the fashionistas' favourite shoe maestro has taken action against the counterfeiters who are flooding the market with dodgy red soles - and exploiting third-world workers into the bargain.

Stopfakelouboutin.com explains the action the companyis taking - from working with sites including Google, Bing and Yahoo to identify sellers of fake shoes, to monitoring auction sites like eBay, and even carrying out raids on factories and wholesale stores.

It also lists the URLs of all the fake shoe-selling sites the company has identified so far.

Hopefully, now the summer sales are starting, we'll be able to snap up the real thing at a (slightly) more affordable price. We've got our eye on these espadrilles at Matches, down from £350 to £280...
