Vernon Kay's public apology to Tess Daly

Shamed star Vernon Kay publicly apologised to wife Tess Daly live on his Radio One show over the weekend.
The grovelling star said sorry to his family at the start of his broadcast, telling listeners he had made ‘foolish decisions.'

'I've disappointed and let down my family and for that I am very sorry,' he said.
This comes after he admitted sending racy messages to at least ‘four or five' work colleagues, as well as glamour model Rhian Sugden.
And following his radio message, Vern took a rather bizarre route home, jumping out of his taxi on the hard shoulder of the M40 motorway.
He then climbed through the undergrowth to his Buckinghamshire mansion in an effort to avoid waiting paparazzi.
The star went home to his ‘humiliated' wife Tess, who has cancelled her schedule of television appearances this week.
She had been due on a whistle-stop publicity tour to promote her new book, The Baby Diaries: Memories, Milestones and Misadventures.

'Tess is taking some time out so we've rescheduled her diary. But she will be signing books in due course,' her spokeswoman said over the weekend.
And despite his latest apology, it seems like Family Fortunes star Vernon still has some making up to do.
‘Tess is still furious with Vern and he has a lot of explaining to do. She hopes that now he has confessed it will be the end of it, but it's still very painful for her,' one insider said.

Think he needs to grovel some more. He has lost Tess's trust and publicly humiliated her... think he has a long way to go before he is back in her good books.

If i had Tess as a wife i very much doubt i'd be sending racy messages to anyone, let alone fake glamour models!
I've always had vernon down as an ideal husband, but just proves even the seemingly "perfect" couplings have faults. Poor tess :(

I heard Vernon's saturday morning Radio one show and he was not his usual jokey self... he sounded decidedly sheepish. I dont get why the likes of Vernon and Ashley Cole cavort with these girls and think they wont be found out. Are the so stupid as to think the girls in question wont leak it to the press? silly,silly boys.

Ashley Cole, Vernon Kay - just WHO do they think they are? Neither one is good looking. How very insecure they must be. Glamour models - what's 'glamorous' about them? NOTHING! Tacky, tacky, tacky! Both men have lovely wives and they have behaved appallingly! Ashely Cole - pah! But Vernon Kay? I am surprised! Silly, silly boys.... well said Katie!

Really, so far we have found out that he has sent a few naughty messages to some girls. To me it just proves what a down to earth lad he is. I imagine most boyfriends/husbands (as well as a lot of wives) flirt, which is all it is. As long as he hasn't actually physically done anything what's the problem?

Feve, I completely agree. Yes some rude messages would hurt but he's kept it in his pants and had his fun without being physically unfaithful. We all like the attention of a flirt with a hottie, it never led to anything, leave Vernon alone.

I can't believe that you think he has done nothing wrong. I am in Tess's situation at the moment - and believe me - it feels very wrong. Just because he kept it in his pants it does not necessarily follow that he has been 'faithful'. Emotional betrayal is far more painful than physical betrayal. And if people out there are just judging fidelity, honesty and love by whether or not someone 'keeps it in their pants', then I'm very worried indeed. Love with an open heart. The minute you need to write/text etc, stop and ask yourself why.

I find it bizarre that these women, of very low moral standing, who know that these are married men, feel comfortable trying to seduce another womans husband.Ruining the family life for their own personal gain. So is it that every Man is availiable for seduction whether married or not? The guys are still fools.
