Smouldering star Robert Pattinson is famous the world over for his role as Edward Cullen in the Twilight saga.

And since the film's unprecedented success, the hot new Hollywood heartthrob is tipped for great things.

With film parts flowing in, he has even earned the envy of the likes of Jude Law and Pierce Brosnan.

But the vampy star wasn't always polished to perfection.

Early audition tapes show lovely Mr Pattinson reading lines for movie How to Be.
