Katie Price hits back at claims she will divorce Alex Reid
By Rachel Holmes on Tuesday 9 February 2010
In the first TV interview since getting married to cage-fighting champion Alex Reid, Katie Price described reports that the two are headed for divorce as 'a joke'.
Sat on the sofa at the GMTV studios, Price displayed disbelief at the way the tabloids were picking on the couple saying, 'It's absolutely shocking... I've been keeping a low profile recently so I don't know where they're getting it from.'
The cage-fighting champion and glamour model got married in a surprise wedding last week in a small chapel in Las Vegas. Price described the ceremony as 'not tacky at all' and declared: 'As it stands we have not done a magazine deal... the chapel filmed the whole thing. It was beautiful.'

The 31-year-old mother of three told GMTV that there were no plans for her and Alex to work together on television saying, 'He's got his own thing going on. I've learned from my mistakes'. On her new husband's relationship with her children she mentioned that Alex was good with the kids: 'He's like a "manny."'
And it sounds like it won't be long before Alex and Katie have some children of their own as the star revealed that the two were in a 'happy place' and trying for a baby.
Responding to question about whether she'd seen the Sky News interview with former husband Peter Andre, she said: 'Pete's a fantastic dad, he's absolutely brilliant with Harvey. I heard about the Sky News thing, in fact my mum recorded it and I watched it. I thought it was so cruel and out of order.
'They can't compare Dwight [Yorke[ to Pete at all. There's no comparison, Pete is there and has been like his [Harvey's] dad and is fantastic with him.'

Its a pity the newspapers are so bitchy about Katie - no wonder she has to go on TV to put the record straight. I think Katie and Alex are good together. He loves her to bits and he is her rock. Katie's been through some bad times recently but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Well done Katie!

" I've been keeping a low profile recently" !!!
With an ITV 2 camera crew filming me all day every day, along with O.K magazine in tow to photograph my Tacky wedding, then straight back to the U.K to land on the sofa of GMTV to be interviewed this morning! She is Totally Deluded-bordering on Psychotic if you ask me.

Bored, bored, bored!!The sooner the brain-dead of Britain (and elsewhere) stop giving them the time of day, the better. She's a media-manipulating, attention-seeking slapper and everyone's funding her exploits by continually paying for her sad little life stories. I pity the poor kids.

katie price needs to get over herself. We don't care if she married alex, we dont care if she is divorcing him, we dont care if they are trying for a baby. It makes me sick that these i'm famous for being famous couple hit the news headlines instead of updates on Haiti.
Katie you don't like people being negative about you, get out of our faces then!!!!

Pete is not an 'amazing' dad. He is just a dad doing what is expected in a father. That does not make him amazing. Why is it such a surprise when someone fulfills their duties? If you commit to having a child (whether it's your own or not), commit to the responsibilities it brings. It's not rocket science - it certrainly isn't amazing. There's millions of men out there doing it every day.
