Victoria Beckham's new £25k Birkin joins £1 million bag collection

For most of us, £25,000 might represent a year's salary, perhaps the deposit on a house or the sum total of your life's savings, but for Victoria Beckham, it's just another handbag.

Stepping out yesterday, Posh was spotted toting her latest arm candy - a £24,740 Hermés Birkin burgundy bag, reportedly a Christmas gift from husband David.

The design - named the bordeaux porosus crocodile - joins Mrs B's extensive Birkin collection, which is now thought to be worth a whopping £1 million.

Perhaps Posh's most enduring fashion love affair, the stylista has remained steadfastly loyal to the label's luxury handbags, and is rumoured to have amassed a collection of hundreds. In an array of colours, styles and luxury leathers, she now has a Birkin for every outfit, and the latest addition isn't even the most costly of the bunch.

The jewel in her collection's crown has to be a 2008 Christmas gift from David - the £80,000 diamond-studded silver edition of the Himalayan Birkin, one of only three in the world.

Now that's what we call a style obsession!
