Kristen Stewart nominated for 'Rising Star' Bafta
By Eleanor Young on Wednesday 13 January 2010
Our favourite Twilight fashionista Kristen Stewart has been nominated for the Orange Rising Star award at this years Baftas.
The vampire lovely is listed with the likes of Nicholas Hoult, Carey Mulligan (who's also nominated at the Golden Globes this weekend), Jesse Eisenberg and Tahar Rahim in the category.
Kristen first joined the ranks of hot young talent with a role in the film Panic Room, which was swiftly followed by Sean Penn's adaptation film Into The Wild - loved by a certain Mr Pattinson - and then Twilight.
And we're sure the big roles won't stop there.
If she wins the title, the lucky Ms Stewart will join winners James McAvoy, Eva Green and Shia LaBeouf who have all walked away with the gong in previous years.

And the great news is that you can have a hand in choosing the winner, as the famous gong is voted for solely by the public.
You can choose your favourite online by visiting orange.co.uk/bafta.
The winner will be announced at the Orange British Academy Film Awards on Sunday, February 21.
What do you think of Kristen's nomination? Does she deserve the award, or would you prefer someone elseo to take home the title? Let us know your thoughts in the comments box below.

I'm not convinved Kristen should get it to be honest. It's such a strong category and she doesn't have that much to rely on apart from Twilight - that carries her.

Ofcource she deserves it, its about talent, and she has a huge porfolio to prove she has oodles of that, plus some pretty highly anticipated films out soon too with Sundance and The Runaways Kristen Stewart has got my vote. Good luck babe.

Regarding Rachel's comment:
Kristen has more on her filmography resume than Carey and Nick combined. She has appeared in over 20 films, 4 of which are coming out this year alone: The Yellow Handkerchief, The Runaways, Eclipse and Welcome to the Rileys.
She co-starred with Jesse Eisenberg in Adventureland and has previously appeared in Into the Wild, Panic Room, In the Land of Women, What Just Happened (w/ Robert DeNiro!) just to name a few.
If anything, to quote Nick, "she already is a star".
