Superstar singer and X Factor glamazon Cheryl Cole has hit back at critics by posting a close-up of herself wearing her wedding ring on social networking site, Twitter.

The head and shoulders shot shows Cheryl holding her ring-clad hand in front of her face, and is accompanied by the caption: ‘3 words. Diamonds Are Forever.'

Cheryl's marriage to footballer Ashley has faced much speculation in recent weeks, after she was seen on two consecutive episodes of X Factor without the £160,000 rock.

The pair have rarely been seen out together since it emerged that Ashley was unfaithful two years ago, and they were spotted looking tense and having a very public row as they attended an event last week.

But the star's whopping sparkler was firmly back on her finger as she performed at the charity Children in Need Rocks concert on Thursday.

Now in a bid to quiet rumours once and for all, the Girls Aloud star has posted a picture of herself wearing the ring, leaving fans in no doubt about her relationship.

People should just leave them alone to get on with their own lives as they want to. I have met cheryl in Tanzania when she was climbing Kilimanjaro for comic relief. She is a really lovely genuine person. It's up to her what she does with her marriage and I wish her good luck which ever decision she makes

Just leave them alone. All marriages however successful go through their ups and downs. If we all abandoned our marriages/friendships at the first sign if trouble where would the human world be?!!

Just because you got an expensive sparkler for a wedding ring doesn't mean you got a solid marriage Cheryl!!!! Grow up and listen to your head not your heart - will Ashley make a good father??? You go on about making babies, but if he's not a good husband how on earth will he make a good father? You silly girl - you don't live in the real world anymore!!!

Cheryl should never have taken Ashley back. The fact that he was unfaithful so early on in their marriage makes you think that he'll probably do it again in the future. He totally humiliated her. She should kick him out for good.

Why dont you leave that poor girl alone. They may have celebrity status but need to find there own road through it. Marriages are difficult enough if we all learn to give and not take and love each other a bit more what a calmer world we would live in.

I actually wonder if it was all just a carefully orchestrated along the lines of 'no publicity being bad publicity' to keep her single and album high in the charts as headlines about marriage appear.

Maybe the Cheryl Machine felt Dani was having too much attention.

I'm so sick of that woman.

When the details of her husband's affair came out she suddenly became a very loved public figure as there was a lot of sympathy for her, whereas before she had very little other than bad press.

Whilst I'm not saying she wanted any of that to happen, no one would, she's clearly now using speculation over her marriage to her advantage. All that talk about how she wants privacy is rubbish, she knew what taking her ring off on the X Factor of all places would do and now she goes and does this. I completely agree with Karen that she's working on the 'any publicity is good publicity' thing playing the sympathy card, what a coincidence this all happens when her debut single/album is released.

The sooner Cheryl mania dies down the better.

There is no certain proof he did definitely cheat. She has already said she can't trust anyone anymore, but that doesn't mean she can't follow her heart and stay with the man she loves. Everyone says leave him, but it's not that simple, you can't just switch off feelings like that. If she wants to be with him and start a family then maybe that's what they need. And there's nothing to prove that he'll cheat again. After all the furrore surrounding his first supposed crime, then he's probably not going to do it again in a hurry1

You go, girl... I never had the chance to flash my james allen wedding ring at our critics when my hubby and I got married. They said we won't make it. That was 5 years ago.
