Robert Pattinson talks Kristen Stewart romance rumours

Robert Pattinson has quashed rumours of a romance between him and his Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart, insisting the pair are 'just good friends.'

'It doesn't matter what you say,' he told Vanity Fair magazine. 'I've literally been across the country [from Kristen] and it's like, "Oh, they were on secret dates!" It's like, "Where? I can't even get out of my hotel room."

But it seems the 23-year-old is still full of praise for Kristen, who he'll share the screen with once more in Twilight sequel, New Moon, out later this month.

'I think she's the best young actress around,' he said. 'She's influenced how I've done all the Twilight stuff. It's quite nice to have someone who is genuinely indifferent to the whole spectacle of everything.'

By contrast, the former model revealed he is 'unbearably self-conscious' about the media frenzy the franchise has created and his ensuing pin-up status.

'I'm trying not to drown,' he admitted. 'I guess I'm not the type of guy cut out to do a franchise. I'm not much of a crowd person.'

He also dismissed the fact he is fast becoming a sex symbol, referring to himself as a 'blob' and 'a cartoon character'.

We reckon someone needs to give the boy a pair of glasses!

I have read all the books and am really looking forward to seeing the next film....but the RP/sex symbol/r they or aren't they stories, *yawn* totally bored with it all.

BTW can't quite see the RP/Edward facination, I'm a Team Jacob member...yum!!
