Is this Lady Gaga’s weirdest look yet?

Did Lady Gaga get her dates wrong? The singer looked as though she was celebrating Halloween two nights late when she arrived at the ACE Awards in New York.

Lady Gaga was being honoured with the coveted Stylemaker prize at the awards ceremony, which recognises fashion influencers through use of accessories.

And boy did she use her accessories to show-stopping effect that night...

Renowned for her experimental style selections, the 23-year-old arrived sporting a Marc Jacobs S/S 2010 ensemble, consisting of a black shirt covered with a pink silk bra, and silver hotpants. Then came the accessories... A black lace mask, a black beaded crown atop a towering afro, eye-wateringly vertiginous John Galliano heels, and to top it all off, a bizarre coating of talcum powder.

As if that wasn't enough, she then proceeded to pose her way down the red carpet, pulling a series of ghoulish positions for the waiting press.

‘Just when you thought you saw everything in originality, there she is again,' said ACE President Karen Giberson of their award honouree. ‘People anticipate what she's going to wear, and it's exciting to see accessories as such a meaningful part of someone's wardrobe.'

Lady Gaga joined a whole host of other fashionable faces at the awards ceremony, who were all decked out in their stylish finery.

Agyness Deyn, Molly Sims and Marc Jacobs were all in attendance to see Diane von Furstenberg honoured with the Accessory Visionary Award, and Burberry named Brand of the Year.

She's crazy! I think she always looks amazing and puts such a lot of effort into her look. I wonder how long it takes her to get ready?! And I also wonder what she looks like with no makeup in just jeans and a tshirt?!

The woman is a mess! Tries way too hard and always manages to look like she fell out of a 9th storey window. Not good gaga.

I can't help but hate nearly every outfit she wears - however, her determination to stick to her origional "GaGa trend" is quite remarkable. She wears them well, too, with confidence and personality. Go GaGa!

I wonder how popular she would be if it was just her singing we were exposed to.
Nothing she does is shocking anymore. She is a good entertainer on stage. It's more like a freaky circus.

It just beggers belief and makes one ask the question why?! Is it that she has issues that she feels she needs to hide behind the thick layers of makeup, hair dye, wigs and weird clothes that basically prevent us from seeing who the real her is, as does her equally at times weird and wacky behaviour! Or is it just a gimmick/publicity stunt, or does she actually really like her get ups and are they really her truly expressing her own individual style? Personally my money is on the former and first suggestion!
