Celebrity photographer Jillian Edelstein needs you!
Jillian Edelstein
Now you too can make like Kate Moss and step in front of Jillian Edelstein's lense.
The famed photographer is embarking upon a unique mission to capture the beauty and individuality of 121 eyes, in only 12.1 hours.
In a collaboration with Sony Ericsson, to celebrate the launch of their new Satio handset on Vodafone, Jillian is searching for ‘real people' from all over the country to take part in her latest project 'Eyes Wide Open' - and that could include you.
Having captured the likes of Jerry Hall, Nelson Mandela and, of course, Kate Moss, Edelstein is one of the world's most influential and celebrated portrait photographers.
‘I love the fact that this image reveals the ‘mischievousness' of Kate,' she says of her Moss portrait. ‘It's all in the eyes.'
And eyes, it seems, are a recurring theme within her work - taking centre stage in this innovative new project.
The appeal of shooting real people, ‘is that they are real,' she explains. ‘We're all so seduced and enamoured with celebrity. We forget, or want to forget, reality.'
‘Getting back to that reality comes as a relief; I love affording the importance and dignity to real people that they deserve.'
Jillian will be hand-selecting all 61 participants, who will be invited to the exclusive photoshoot at the flagship London Vodafone store, during the first week of December.
