Who wore it best? Geri vs. Geri!

Geri Halliwell - Celebrity News - Marie Claire

It's good to see that some celebrities are responding to the recession appropriately.

Step forward Ms Geri Halliwell, who turned up on the red carpet yesterday sporting exactly the same dress she wore to the Oscars seven years ago!

But this time round, the star had curves in all the right places.

Geri, 37, arrived at the Breast Cancer Care fashion show in London last night wearing a floor-length mauve velvet dress.

The halterneck gown features an embroidered neckline and similar detailing on the thigh-high split.

The Spice Girl girl first wore the dress at the Vanity Fair after-party at the Oscars in March 2002.

At the time, the singer looked quite frail, with a tiny frame and short blonde bob.

But when Geri appeared at the fashion show yesterday, she looked healthier, happier and (s)miles better!

The severe blonde 'do was replaced with gorgeous tumbling curls and the super-slender figure made way for some seriously sexy cleavage.

Geri was also beaming from ear to ear - we would too if not only could we still wear a dress from seven years ago, we looked super-hot in it too!

Which version of the dress do you think looks best? Do Geri's modern curves suit the dress better than her Oscars' outfit? Tell us your thoughts below!

You have to ask the question??? Now, obviously! Lets get away from this "emaciated look is good" trend. It's worrying to see women starving themselves then having surgery to give themselves curves that they are dieting beyond reason to lose. Women have(natural)curves, its part of our biological make up and should be celebrated. We should make the best of ourselves and keep active, fit and healthy. I, for one, do not want to look like a certain footballers wife

Geri looked stunning yet again in this dress by South African designers Catacombes. The brand is run by a husband and wife team who live in Cape Town (where she bought the dress.)
