Penelope Cruz could be a winter bride, if the latest Hollywood gossip is to be believed.

Fan forums and internet rumour sites have been buzzing this week with the news that the Vicky Cristina Barcelona actress is engaged to her co-star Javier Bardem.

The couple have been dating for a couple of years and are constantly denying rumours that they are about to get married or become parents.

Penelope, 35, was recently snapped with what appeared to be a baby bump at the German premiere of Broken Embraces in August.

'I start getting some presents from friends saying, 'Congratulations, you're pregnant'. And I say, 'No, I'm not. So please return the presents',' she told USA Today.

Pictures of her smoking soon after the premiere quickly squashed any speculation, but the A-list couple are now subject to those pesky marriage myths. Again!

Us magazine says Penelope and Javier, 39, are officially engaged. 'They tried to keep it very private and quiet,' a source told the magazine.

Javier's spokesman did not deny the rumours, but didn't give them much serious thought either.

'I don't really know, but I would not be able to say antyhing even if I did,' he told People.com.

C'mon people, we need definite answers here!

But we hope the rumours are true - Penelope and Javier could possibly be the best-looking bride and groom since Brad and Jen!
