Limited edition charity totes on sale NOW
By Sarah Karmali on Tuesday 6 October 2009
Here's another fabulous fashion collaboration for you to sink your teeth into. Renowned contemporary artist Marilyn Minter has teamed up with luxury international boutique Intermix to create 850 limited edition tote bags - with a portion of the proceeds going to charity.
The totes are all printed with still images captured from Minter's provocative short film, Green Pink Caviar.
The 8-minute piece (described as a lush and sensual voyeuristic hallucination) was inspired by her fascination with the human body, and shows very up-close-and-personal clips of female mouths licking sweet treats and cakes. Highly sensuous stuff...
Naturally, all this caught the eye of a certain Madonna, who has commissioned the film to show during her current tour.
To coincide with National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the cotton totes went on sale today for one month only.
A portion of the proceeds will be going straight to BRIGHT PINK, the breast and ovarian cancer charity.
And with each retailing at a purse-friendly £31.28, that's one good deed for the day we can definitely afford.
