Milan's glamorous fashion weekend

The sun was shining in Milan this weekend ensuring even the most jaded of fashion folk had a smile on their faces for the jam-packed schedule of shows.

In less than 48 hours we managed to squeeze in over 20 shows and just as many presentations (and, quite possibly, glasses of Prosecco). Read on for the highlights...

Star spots: Janet Jackson at Versace, Mary J Blige at Gucci and Brit It-girls Daisy Lowe, Alice Dellal and Peaches Geldof at Dolce & Gabbana. WATCH the Versace and Gucci shows below:

Trend alert: Decontructed tailoring, as seen at Jil Sander, Prada and Fendi. If it's got a perfect hem, it won't see the light of day next season

Refreshment of choice: Diet Coke bottles covered in Missoni, Moschino and Etro prints

Pretty stunning: We loved the delicate, sheer dresses at Fendi and the ethereal ostrich shrugs

Finale with a flourish: Dolce & Gabanna's corset-clad glamazons running riot on the runway.
