Dwight Yorke tells all on 'vain' Jordan

We knew it wasn't going to be full of glowing praise, but Dwight Yorke's autobiography savages his former lover and mother of his son, Katie Price.

In a memoir stuffed full of juicy secrets, Dwight speaks for the first time about his relationship with the glamour model known as Jordan.

The couple have a son together, Harvey, 7, who is blind.

When Katie told Dwight she was pregnant, the footballer says they discussed not having the baby due to their turbulent relationship.

'My reaction was immediate; there was no way we could have this baby,' he says.

'I told her "Our relationship is too unstable. I don't think it's right".'

Dwight then says the first year after Harvey's birth was 'the most distressing thing I'd ever had to deal with'.

He describes Katie's partying and apparent lack of commitment to her son.

'I challenged her about this lifestyle. She'd desperately wanted our baby, but this was her idea of motherhood?' he writes in Born to Score, serialised in the News of the World.

The couple split up during that year, but Dwight says he wanted to 'throttle' singer Peter Andre when Katie fell for him after their meeting on I'm a Celebrity.

When he used to go to the couple's home to see Harvey, Dwight says they would put on outrageous displays of public affection and described the decor as 'a shrine to their own vanity'.

'I found it creepy. I couldn't walk down a hallway without... the pair of them draped over each other.'

Katie and Peter officially divorced earlier this month and are currently locked in a PR battle to win public support for their respective careers.

I think dwight yorke has done the right thing in speaking out we have had to put up with jordans rants about him for too long and now he has set the record straight from his side i feel that she is more to blame than we thought,she is after all a mother and i will not say but she seems too interested in herself and her persona to me and whilst there are two sides to a story he seems right in what hes saying,as long as shes wearing the trousers nothing else matters so to finalise i feel sorry for ANY man she picks as they are always going to be just second to her.

Whilst I think Jordan has no true feelings, I nevertheless believe that people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones - he's hardly father of the year!

Dwight Yorke is ridiculous - he DIDN'T want her to have Harvey and HASN't been a dad to him. What kind of man happily announces publically that he didn't want his child - poor Harvey. All that is said about Jordan/Katie, she is still seems to be a good mum and Peter Andre a good dad. Shame Dwight cannot make that claim, which out of all his claims seems to be the most important to me.

They are all as bad as each other with not an ounce of talent between them.

Although I'm on Dwight's side and agree that Jordan certainly appears to be selfish How dismissive he is of his child and I think it's very sad and damaging that he wihes they had had him aborted - would he feel differently if his son had no dissabilities?? I think the way she deals with their son, certainly to the public, is one of the best things Jordan does.

I find it interesting that he decides to talk now when everyone is so interested in the 'Katie/peter' split. Cashing in......???
The thing that I dislike about all of them is the exploitation of their own children in an attempt to make us all feel sorry for them.I have never been a fan of Katie Price but momentarily thought better of her for looking after Harvey like she does. However, what mother who cares so much for her children is willing to over flaunt her 'new love' so quickly after splitting from their father? It would be nice to see her use the brain she does have to focus on her family as opposed to her own deep seated need for fame.
