Louis Vuitton jewellery designer heads to Dior

By Jess Wood  on Friday 11 September 2009

Louis Vuitton - Fashion News - Marie Claire

Magpie alert - Camille Miceli, the designer responsible for Louis Vuitton's smash-hit costume jewellery, is moving to Dior to make the mega-brand even more must-have.

She'll work alongside John Galliano and current jewellery maestro Victoire de Castellane.

Miceli, who created the chunky Eighties-style chain link necklaces seen on this season's Vuitton catwalks, started off as a press officer at the French house.

With encouragement from creative director Marc Jacobs, she moved into jewellery design for the label and her first designs hit stores in 2004.

"I've always had a profound admiration and attraction for the house of Dior", she says. "I'm eager to express my own sensibilities through the house's codes."

We can't wait!
