Brian McFadden arrives to take kids from ex-wife Kerry Katona

Brian McFadden has touched down at Heathrow - a startling sign for Kerry Katona that their bitter custody battle over daughters Molly, seven, and Lily-Sue, six, is about to begin.

The former Westlife star flew in today from Australia, where he lives with fiancée Delta Goodrem, in preparation for a showdown with his ex-wife, who was caught snorting cocaine on camera last month.

His move to permanently remove his kids from the star's Cheshire home is also said to be prompted by Kerry's alleged assault of her accountant, David McHugh, last week.

While Bryan has reportedly been consulting lawyers over the care of his children for some time, he is now said to have set his heart on raising the girls in his native Ireland with singer Delta, who is backing the plan.

Meanwhile, Kerry, who turns 29 on Sunday, is reported to have made a series of hysterical calls to Brian, begging him not to take her kids away.

A source told the London Lite: 'Kerry is at her wit's end. She's been saying to him that she can't live without them, the kids are her whole life.

'Brian thinks her pleas are pathetic but really feels sorry for her. His main priority is the kids and he's had enough of Kerry's problems.'
