Kimberley Walsh lands New Look campaign

Forget about the music, it's all about modelling for the Girls Aloud ladies this week.

On the same day that L’Oréal has announced Cheryl Cole is its latest A-list face, New Look has revealed that Kimberley Walsh will front its autumn/winter campaign.

Taking the reigns from Alexa Chung – who struck a pose for the high street fashion haven's spring drop -  Kim joins a long line-up of Brit fashionistas who have starred in NL campaigns, including Lily Allen, Agyness Deyn and Pixie Geldof.

With the Girls taking time out from band duties, Walsh's modelling gig is the latest solo project for the quintet. Sarah Harding is currently pursuing her acting career, filming St Trinians 2, while Cheryl Cole continues her X Factor duties, and is recording her first solo album.

Nicola Roberts is reportedly going back to school, enrolling in beauty college, following the success of her make-up line, while like Mrs Cole, Nadine Coyle is working on solo material.
