Sandra Bullock reveals 8-minute beauty routine

A-list actress Sandra Bullock has revealed that her beauty routine to get her preened to perfection takes just eight minutes.

Bucking the idea that Hollywood’s elite spend hours in hair and make-up, toiling over their face and tresses, Sandra claims she would even be able to shave a minute or two off her personal best - if her hair wasn’t so unruly.

The star, who is on the promotional trail for new rom-com movie The Proposal, explained to InStyle magazine that she really is a low-maintenance lady and revealed her tips for the speediest of beauty routines.

‘I use a face cloth and Artistry cream for my daily beauty regime,’ says Sandra. ‘I put mascara on today because I wanted to make a bit of an effort,’ she explains.

My entire routine takes eight minutes since I have this mop on my head I need to wrangle. I wash, condition, put product in if it's a little haywire. I like it when it's messy-in-your-face bedhead. It looks like it just happened.’

The 44-year-old actress, who shares a rather intimate love scene with Proposal co-star Ryan Reynolds, and who has reportedly holidayed with Reynolds and his wife Scarlett Johansson, does admit that staying in shape isn’t quite such a speedy process.

‘People ask, “How do actresses do it?” Um – they pay us to do this in order to look good on film,’ admits the straight-talking Sandra.

And what exactly keeps the Speed star in such tip-top condition? ‘I do Pilates, kickboxing, weight training and when I’m at home, I run or ride a bike. If I can work out every day I will.’

It's nice to know that not all stars think they have to look 'picture perfect' every minute of the day and jsut do the bare essentials! Being honest about all the effort it takes to maintain that figure makes her a positive role model as well.
