Scarlett and Eva's monochrome double act

Scarlett Johansson and Eva Mendes made a stylish double-act last night, stepping out for the Paris premiere of their new movie, The Spirit.

Both rocking monochrome strapless numbers, the actresses proved the perfect compliment to each other, each dressing to suit their assets.

For Scarlett, this meant a classic 50s-style white lace prom dress, belted to nip in her tiny waist, and accentuate those enviable curves.

With her hair slicked back, she warmed up her look with a slick of ruby red lipstick.

Onto Eva, and it was all about the polka dots, with her gathered bandeau dress. A chic up-do was the perfect finishing touch.

The actresses have been touring Europe on the promotional trail for the film, which is set to hit UK cinemas on New Year's Day.
