Brad and Angelina's star-studded premiere

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie led the A-list last night, at the year's glitziest premiere.

With its glamorous stars, Pitt and Cate Blanchett, in attendance, The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button premiered in LA, attracting a star-studded line-up that included Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria, Tilda Swinton and Sharon Stone.

But as usual, all eyes were on the Jolie-Pitts who looked effortlessly elegant, both decked out in head-to-toe black.

Angelina may have stuck to her signature safe style – a dark shade and classic cut – but she still stole the show in her sweeping Versace gown, free from accessories, albeit for a pair of Ralph Lauren Vintage Collection earrings.

Sporting the moustache he's grown for latest movie, Inglorious Bastards, Pitt looked dapper in a Tom Ford tux.

There was no shortage of colour though away from Hollywood's most glamorous couple.

Fellow new mum, Jennifer Lopez, took a night off from 10-month-old twins Max and Emme, and flaunted her post pregnancy curves in a plunging oyster satin gown.

Desperate Housewife, Eva Longoria, lit up the red carpet with an azure satin dress, which will surely silence those lingering pregnancy rumours, clinging to every curve.

While red carpet risk-taker Cate Blanchett didn’t fail to disappoint, with a bejewelled bell-shaped Alexander McQueen gown. Definitely one that will divide the critics, but we wouldn't expect any less of the Oscar-winning actress.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button will hit UK cinemas in February.
