Gwyneth Paltrow reveals her top tips for Christmas gifts, in the latest edition of Goop's weekly newsletter.

After spending previous weeks sharing fashion tips, delicious recipes and favourite London hot spots, this week the actress turns her hand to the holiday season, and presents a round-up of her ideal Christmas gifts.

Top of the wish-list is a Flip Ultra camcorder, which she describes as 'genius', while Smythson notebooks, garden tools, kitchen utensils and a stylish cake knife also feature.

Revealing one of her favourite chefs, she describes Jamie Oliver as 'my food idol,' while recommending his latest cook book; although she reserves the top accolade for the River Café Cook Book Easy, calling it 'the most useful cookbook I've ever bought.'

Giving the compilation a personal touch, items 'for her' include a Chris Bolton Tag necklace. 'I personalised mine and I wear it everyday,' the Iron Man star reveals.

The 'for him' list, meanwhile, perhaps gives us a sneak-peek at what Chris Martin will have waiting for him under the tree, with Paltrow naming Tiffany-engraved cufflinks, a Mulberry weekend bag and cashmere socks as her top picks for boys.

And while she may be best known for sticking to a macrobiotic diet, the actress clearly has a love of food, reeling off an extensive list of foodie related gifts including Bridgewater Chocolates, which she calls, 'My absolute favourite chocolate in the entire world. I send these out to special people every year.'
