Britney first husband in jail

Britney Spears' first husband, Jason Alexander, has been sentenced to ten days in jail on a drink-driving charge.

The childhood friend of the singer, who was married to her for just 55 hours in 2004, reportedly failed to complete a court-ordered alcohol rehabilitation program, which stemmed from a 2006 drink-driving arrest. He'll now have to serve ten days in prison to make amends.

In other Britney-related news, the star's former assistant and cousin, Ali Simms, says Britney is doing too much, too soon.

'This isn't any old job. How can they say Britney is sick and then shove her out on the road, with all that pressure?' said Simms, who was fired as Britney's assistant last February, and is now fighting to clean her own tarnished image.

'I have been accused of so many things I didn't do,' she moans. 'My reputation has been dragged through the mud.'
