Marie Claire Celebrity News: Matthew Williamson and Mischa Barton

Matthew Williamson will be bringing a dose of his signature style to the high street this summer, as the latest guest designer for H&M.

Following in the footsteps of Stella McCartney, Karl Lagerfeld, Viktor & Rolf, and most recently, Comme des Garçons, Williamson will design a diffusion line for the high street haven, to hit stores from April.

The designer commented, 'It is an incredible opportunity to be working with H&M... I love the fact that H&M have created a new phenomenon in fashion through the pioneering concept of collaborating with high-end designers to create one-off limited edition capsule collections.

'I am thrilled that my creations for H&M will be accessible to and hopefully enjoyed by so many people around the world,' he added.

As a summer line, the collection promises to incorporate Williamson's love of bright colour and bold print, and the boho aesthetic that earnt him legions of celebrity fans, including Sienna Miller, Scarlett Johansson, Kate Moss and Mischa Barton.

The collection will launch on 23 April, with a select number of womenswear pieces. The collaboration will see another exclusive for H&M, with Williamson's first foray into menswear also hitting stores in May.
