Beyonce finally admits wedding

Beyonce has finally opened up about her secret wedding to music mogul Jay-Z – after six months of remaining tight-lipped about it.
Essence magazine managed to eek a little bit of information from the singer about her wedding day, but only after she groaned: ‘You’re gonna get me in trouble.’
‘What Jay and I have is real. It’s not about interviews or getting the right photo op. It’s real,’ she said. She even revealed she didn’t want an engagement ring because ‘people put too much emphasis on that. It’s just material and it’s just silly to me'.
Instead, the 27-year-old wears a band on her wedding finger over a tattoo of the Roman numeral IV. The significance? Beyonce was born on 4 September, Jay-Z on 4 December, and they were married on 4 April. And Jay-Z sports a matching tattoo on his ring finger, according to the magazine.
The wedding, which took place in New York, was small and intimate because Beyonce is not a ‘traditional woman’, and didn’t want the drama. ‘It’s been my day so many days already,’ she said.
Beyonce, whose new album is due out on 18 November, always knew she and Jay-Z would end up getting married. She added: ‘We've been together a long time. We always knew it would happen.’
