Pamela Anderson slams Sarah Palin
Rex Features
Pamela Anderson and Matt Damon have joined a chorus of Hollywood disapproval against the Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
At a rally in Toronto against cruelty to animals, the former Baywatch actress revealed her contempt for John McCain's running mate.
She told reporters: 'I can't stand her. She can suck it!'
Her comments followed actor Matt Damon's warning of the 'scary' prospect of Ms Palin, whose only political experience is being governor of Alaska for two years and serving as a small-town mayor, becoming president.
The Hollywood A-lister, a Barack Obama supporter known for his left wing views, said that statistically there was a 'really terrifying' possibility that Ms Palin could take over the Oval Office.
'I think the pick was made for political reasons, but in terms of governance, it was a disaster,' he said.
'I think there's a really good chance that Sarah Palin could be president, and I think that's the really scary thing.'
He added: 'It's like a really bad Disney movie. The hockey mom from Alaska and she's the president and it's like she's facing down Vladimir Putin and using the folksy stuff she learned at the hockey rink and it's absurd.
'It's totally absurd and I don't know why more people aren't talking about how absurd it is.'

Most Americans support hunting and fishing? So, is that a good enough reason to vote for her? If Sarah Palin is what America is all about then I am glad I don't live there.

I don't particular care for hunting or fishing but that isn't what scares me. Sarah Palin is an under qualified, totemic figure head. She is a representation of something that appeals to the US public, which I think is great. But I side with Damon when he says she is a scary prospect. She lacks substance. But what she lacks in substances she makes up for in good old American spirit. Which is what it takes to run a country effectively, eh?
Er, no.

These so called "stars" should keep their political opinions to themselves. They barely have an education, and are known for even less than their acting abilities, they become famous because the media wants to take their pics and their lifestyles and shove it in our faces on a daily basis. They themselves have no credibility with me whatsoever. It is best that they shut up and be grateful for the fantasy lifestyles they lead.

I agree - Palin hasn't the experience, although the thing I most hate about her is her stance on the environment and wildlife - disastrous for both. Furthermore, spare me the 'back story' on all the candidates, Obama included - it's PATHETIC. What is important is the POLICIES. Have Americans forgotten that? They seemed to have done, because I certainly didn't hear much about policy, still less ORIGINAL policy during either convention.

I agree. I abhor cruelty to animals, hunting and disrespect for environmental issues. The fact that Alaska is such a focal point for global warning makes it even scarier that she is governor there. The world is moving forward and it is no longer about big business and short term solutions. I wonder what Al Gore would have to say about all of this.

I couldn't agree more, she's a complete joke, just what the gossip columnists need, but not what the American people need for running a country!

Whoa! This got serious. Matt Damon I can understand but Pamela Anderson, that's.serious mojo Yeah well, I really do believe that Palin is to boost McCain like Hilary did for Obama, thing is though she is totally taking the reins in this election.

A new nationwide survey of Americans 18 years old and older conducted by Responsive Management of Harrisonburg, Virginia, shows that 93% of Americans support hunting and fishing.
Hollywood is a very small part of America, yet they seem to believe that they are the only America that matters. Get a clue. The majority of us are NOT vegans, or Peta activists, so please don't act as if there is no other NORMAL way of thinking, it's very offensive. Tolerance goes both ways.

Who cares what these two think, they are so out of touch with reality.
