Reese Witherspoon latest Avon endeavour

Reese Witherspoon was in Brazil last week, to celebrate the huge success of Avon's worldwide charity initiative, which brings awareness to domestic violence against women.

In her role as the beauty giant's global ambassador, the Walk the Line actress has been heavily involved with Avon's philanthropic endeavours, and launched the Women’s Empowerment Bracelet back in March.

Now the bracelet has sold a massive 1.5 million worldwide, raising funds and awareness for the UN's Trust Fund to End Violence against Women. Avon has already matched the $500,00 raised by sales of the bracelet, to donate $1 million to the charity this year.

Looking radiant in a navy blue halter dress, Ms Witherspoon commented on the worthy cause,  'I find it shocking that one billion women globally – that is one in every three women – are affected by violence at some point in their lives…. That's a statistic we must try to change, and the Women's Empowerment Bracelet is a great way for everyone to contribute.'
