Ethan Hawke and wife have baby girl

Ethan Hawke and his wife have had a baby girl, making the actor a father for the third time.

Hawke's wife and former nanny, Ryan Shawhughes, gave birth to Clementine Jane in New York last Friday and the parents are said to be 'thrilled' according to Hawke's rep, Mara Buxbaum.

Hawke and Shawhughes tied the knot in a low-key ceremony last month after the pair met when Shawhughes began working as a nanny for his two children, Maya, 10 and Levon, 6, whom he had with ex-wife Uma Thurman. The new parents did not begin dating until after Hawke split from Thurman in 2004.

It seems parenthood is Hawke's passion in life as he gushed in 2006 that his children give 'the greatest pleasure in my life. It's the only role that, if I fail, I will consider my life a failure.'
