If you're in need of inspiration for the big costume jewellery trend this autumn/winter you could do worse than watch The Duchess (released 5 September) and take tips from Keira Knightley as the Duchess of Devonshire.
Barely a scene goes by without Keira sporting an enormous pair of chandelier earrings complete with even bigger necklace. Those that thought less is more had better be prepared to be proved wrong.
Finish the look with ostrich feathers in your hair and an elaborately ruffled blouse.
