Madonna face lift allegations
Rex Features
We have all marvelled at Madonna's incredibly youthful appearance - especially since she turns 50 next month - but according to her brother, the Queen of Pop has had a face lift.
Christopher Ciccone has dished the dirt on all manner of areas in Madonna's life in his new tell-all book, giving intimate details of her wedding and marriage to Guy Ritchie. But his latest revelation, which he leaked in a TV interview, claimed the singer went under the knife to maintain her line-free face.
When asked whether Ciccone still recognised Madonna from the girl he grew up with, he replied: 'Not after the facelift.'
Speaking in an interview with US TV show Good Morning America, he added: 'I do recognise her in some ways, but I think ultimately she is a lonely person. It is truly lonely at the top.'
Despite Ciccone's uncoverings about his sister's personal life, he admitted that he hoped their relationship would heal in the future, so he could get to know his extended family.
'I think she will speak to me again, I hope so, but I don't want to talk to her unless we are talking to each other as equals. And if that means she stays together with her husband and we don't have a relationship then as long as she is happy that's cool with me.
'What I'm suggesting is that Guy's attitude towards me has to change, number one, and her attitude towards me needs to change, number two. If those things occur, I would like to get to know my niece and nephew better and I would like to meet their adopted son David.'

I have just read the book myself... and I thought it was very interesting. I mean her brother writing all of that stuff on his sister? I also, believed every word of it. And written very well, I might add. I just wonder what she is thinks about this book!

I just finished reading the book and I don't think anyone needs to feel sorry for her brother. He is so full of hate over her success. It's one big whine fest! He needs to get over it. Even if it's all true he did it to himself. OK, she burned him once, twice...LEARN THE LESSON my friend. The whole book was name dropping of people and products. He was more in love with her fame and all that comes with it than he was with her. Quite sad.

I'm reading Christopher's book right now... I think he does his best to write in a straight-forward, honest fashion. But I feel sorry for him, because it is evident that he is still in a lot of denial by making tons of excuses for this woman.
And Madonna only looks "youthful" as long as she is standing still. (The minute she starts moving or looks down, her entire face falls forward.)

I think Madonna is an icon, an "old" soul. She has made a great impact on the world, whether good or bad we all have paid attention. I think in a way we all wish we had the ability to make an impact, isn't that why we are all here? I applaud her and her career. Her brother loves her and wants to be back in her life and he knows how to push her buttons so she will react and they can be close again. I hope they work it out. Leave her alone though, life would be boring in entertainment without her.

I'm not shocked that Maz has had a face lift but I am a little disappointed. Then again the woman is 50. I don't think anybody in the public eye has gone untouched, I just wish they'd admit it. There is enough pressure on ordinary women as it is without having to live up to unrealistic examples of beauty. Celebrities have surgery, personal trainers, live-in chefs, diet gurus and airbrushing to maintain their looks, ordinary women have a lot to live up to, if more celebrities were honest maybe less women would have so many hangups and maybe more men would appreciate that beauty to be found on tv or within the pages of a magazine is not even skin deep.

Madonna is a lonely person - you can never "forget" your past - especially the brothers you grew up with! They were your first critics or admirers, and you can never get away from that. It's sad that with success and fame and money you try to obliterate that part of your life - but I'm sure like the song "Where do you go my lovely?" when you're alone in your bed, you can never get away from the thoughts and dreams in your head. Madonna could do so much good with her money, if I were her my first help would go to my brothers, so they won't rat on me! She has enough of it, but I bet it's all going to Kaballah instead!
