In what could be one of the most bizarre collaborations in fashion history, Michael Jackson is set to launch his own fashion line, with some help from Ed Hardy designer Christian Audigier.

Although Jackson is known for his more obscure fashion choices- think sequinned gloves and surgical masks- the line has been confirmed by Audiger himself.

'It's the merging of the King of Pop with the king of fashion. Something explosive is going to happen,' the designer told People magazine.

The collection will sell at Hollywood celebrity fashion haunt, Kitson. Owner Fraser Ross explained his decision to stock the range, 'Michael Jackson is an international pop icon who has had a huge following throughout his career. I think people will think it’s hip to wear his line. Through all his ups and downs people still love him.'

But Michael isn't the only Jackson to dip a toe in the fashion pool. Sister Janet also confirmed this week that she was designing a lingerie range, telling reporters at the Versace menswear show 'I'm working on it.'

I really don't like this idea that much. I expected him to go on tour as a comeback or even have brand new songs! I mean I'll check out the clothes to see if they're cool, but I'd prefer the MJ everyone knows.

I think that MJ has great taste and with this clothing line he will do wonders. Jackson has the midas touch with music and all he does. The clothes he shows off is different and I love it and as soon as it comes out I'll purchase mine.

Please let us all know how we can get this clothing line. Hopefully it won't be so expensive that only the rich can afford it.
