It’s been going round the rumour mill for some time, but Cameron Diaz and rapper P Diddy fuelled speculation they’re an item after they were spotted holding hands and, er, spoon-feeding each other at the weekend.

Music mogul Diddy took Diaz to a party thrown by pint-sized popstar Prince on Friday.

Insiders at the party – a book launch for Prince’s new tome, 21 Days – said the pair were oblivious to other famous guests at the party, including Sly Stallone, Eddie Murphy and Babyface, saying ‘they only had eyes for each other’.

Onlookers say they ‘laughed and held hands’ throughout Prince’s two-and-a-half-hour show in his back garden, and that Diaz, 35, was eager for Diddy to try her dessert over dinner, spoon-feeding him her bread pudding.

One guest even claims he saw Diddy moving in for a smooch by a theatre in the basement of the mansion. He claims: ‘Diddy was bringing his lips towards hers when he realised someone was approaching.

'Smiling, they closed the theatre's door and locked it.

'We heard them giggling inside.’

The giggling pair were also seen taking in an LA Lakers game last week.

Both parties previously denied they were an item in March when it was rumoured they spent twenty minutes together in a private room with a guard outside at Soho's Sub-Mercer lounge in New York. Diddy said at the time: 'We are just friends'.
