Lancome sues Uma Thurman
By Carla Bevan on Sunday 11 May 2008
Lancôme is suing Uma Thurman.
The premium beauty brand has reportedly filed legal action against Uma after she demanded $1 million from the company for using her 'name and likeness' inappropriately after her contact with them had expired.
The argument apparently stems from pictures of her appearing on some Canadian billboards and Asian websites.
However, Lancôme says it isn't responsible for third parties using Uma's face and name and, therefore, Uma is not in a position to gain financial recompense from them.
