Scarlett Johansson has only just announced her engagement to boyfriend Ryan Reynolds, but designers are already queuing up to design her dress - and Stella McCartney has pushed her way to the front.

Scarlett announced her engagement to Smokin' Aces actor Reynolds - who was previously engaged to singer Alanis Morissette - at the Costume Institute Gala on Monday night.

Stella, who was also in attendance, immediately offered her services. 'She said: 'I'm definitely doing her wedding dress. She doesn't know it yet.'

And McCartney jokingly suggested she already has a design in mind. 'You know, some kind of dodgy, black thing. Latex! Latex for Scarlett!'

Perhaps she'd be better off sticking with Wang.

Stella has, however, had experience wedding dress-making experience - she designed her friend Madonna's gown for the singer's wedding to Guy Ritchie in 2000.
