Natalie Portman most eco-friendly star

Naralie Portman in an ad campaign for her new line of vegan-friendly shoes

Natalie Portman's dedication to environmental and social issues has won her a place at the top of a most eco-friendly list by green website Grist.org.

The company praised Portman's efforts to help save the gorillas in Rwanda, her role as the face of a low-energy light bulb company and the launch of her vegan shoe range.

Other stars to be honoured on the list include Leonardo DiCaprio, Cameron Diaz, Julia Roberts and Brad Pitt.

But the least eco-aware celebrities were also named and shamed. The worst offenders? David Beckham, for the amount of flights he takes annually, Elizabeth Hurley, for jetting 250 guests to her wedding in India, and the Spice Girls, for their prolific use of private planes.

Is time to recive a recognition because she had always her private things in a second place and dedicated to her goals that are like her for a good cause. I read what she has done in Africa and how she fights against desease with her resources and she is willing to help people in distances places is something to recognize. Her head is in the Earth, and I don't know why they don't give her a mayor recognition. For me like it or not she is a rol model that think in other before herself. I love her and I desire the best for her.
