Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes

Spokesmen for Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have dismissed rumours the couple are planning a separation as 'absolutely false'.

An article in US magazine In Touch claims Holmes is planning a move to Manhattan from LA to regain her independence after feeling she is nothing more than Mrs Cruise.

As the three-year anniversary of their first date looms on 29 April, sources told the magazine she is fed up of playing the perfect wife.

The feature, which is entitled Katie Wants Her Life Back, reports: 'Of course Katie still loves him [Tom], but she does often feel like the little wife that has to sit there quietly and smile serenely at everything he says.' It goes on to say that she intends to move to Manhattan to pursue her Broadway acting ambitions.

But Tom and Katie's people insist all talk of marriage problems are rubbish.

A spokeswoman described the piece as 'irresponsible reporting' and said: 'She [Katie] and her husband enjoy a close and loving relationship.'

Oh so just cos she wants a life they are going to split, maybe she just wants to have her own life just because she's a wife and mother doesn't mean she can't still be "katie" let her have an opinion and stop twisting what she says.....

It all depends on the length & terms of her contract. She should check she won't be in breach of contract as her 'partner' has some very good lawyers. Oh no, here they come again.

Cruise has turned into a serious freak. Anyone who is into religion which he contributes vast amounts of money to needs their head checked. This mariage will never last, because scientology will get in the way. The sooner Cruise realizes he's being used as a front man for the cult the better for him.
