Lionel and Nicole Richie at the 25th Annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards in LA

Nicole Richie has been showing off her amazing post-baby figure in Missoni at a music awards ceremony, where she also waxed lyrical about being a mum.

The star attended the 25th ASCAP Pop Music Awards with little sister Sophia and dad Lionel to see him pick up a Lifetime Achievement gong ? but all eyes were on her amazing new figure, which she showed off to perfection in a sequin-embellished dress from the Missoni Spring 2008 collection.

The new mum described her new role as being 'like nothing I could have imagined' and added that life with daughter Harlow, who was born in January, is 'beyond amazing, and my family has been supportive ? I go to my dad's house all the time.'

In fact, Lionel has been putting in his babysitting duties. Richie said: 'He actually babysat the other day ? him and Joel [Madden, Nicole's fiancé] ? and they were amazing. I mean, she slept the whole time.'

'It's when the baby wakes up that I freak out,' laughed Lionel, who also went on to add how the baby has made a grown-up out of Nicole. 'She went from, "Dad, I don't care. Whatever you say". To "Wash your hands, Dad" and "Be quiet Dad". It's a whole new sound of the house.'

And how has he taken to his new title? 'I went to Nicole and said, "Grandpa, how does that sound? Does that fit me?" She said, "Dad, that sounds old". So I kind of searched out ... G-Pa sounds a lot better!'
