Celebrity water charity ad
A new water charity commercial starring A-list actress Jennifer Connelly, gathering water from a pond in Central Park has been aired on US television.
The advert for the charity: water campaign aims to highlight the desperate need to provide clean drinking water to millions of families in Africa.

Jennifer Connelly is filmed leaving her New York apartment with her two children and walking to gather water in plastic containers, along with many other New Yorkers, from the stagnant ponds in Central Park.
The same water is then served up to the boy and girl at the kitchen table and text appears on screen reading 'Imagine drinking this. 1.1 billion people don't have access to safe drinking water'.
'We wanted to bring the harsh reality we saw in Africa home to our friends,' explained advert creator Nigel Lythgoe. 'The reality that millions of women and children walk miles each day to collect murky green water from swamps. Water that kills kids. We wanted to help put an end to it.'
The charity hopes the advert, which transfers third world issues to a New York arena, will encourage people to donate to a well building project and explains that donations of $20 can provide clean water to one person for 20 years.
